Down in Texas they like to keep it short get you a county lawyer who‘s a friend of the court he’s drunk at the trial, you appeal to the state the judges say “sorry, son, it’s too late.” If you weren’t poor, if you were white you’d had a better lawyer and got off light.
  2. MacDonald co-wrote the gently reflective Ireland, Ireland--there are so many songs about Ireland can there be anything left to say?-- with Steve Eriksson, and Susan MeKeown provides the harmony vocal. The nearly 73 minutes and 17 tracks on Recognition (including a hidden track of the shaggy dog baseball story "Mojo & the St. Luke's Flukes," set to the tune of "St. James Infirmary") allow Rod MacDonald the space to offer a full complement of typically witty and heartfelt considerations of political and emotional matters. On a personal level, he who in the past wrote so many songs of romantic 8/

  8. With the political critical album “Two Ways Of America” Rod MacDonald finished his first half dozen of excellent releases on brambus in ! Two years later he followed up with “This One” as another masterpiece and now, we are in and Rod MacDonald is back with strong songwriting and not less than 16 new songs!
  9. Simply one of the best soft rock albuns in existence. You can tell it was really McDonald's game here, combining his vocals with a stellar cast of Los Angeles session players (along with my Brazilian counterpart Paulinho da Costa) and the rest of Toto (Mike, Jeff Porcaro and Steve Lukather) thus providing grooves that were very early 80s California.
